A variety of diseases of the musculoskeletal system can significantly reduce the quality of life. With the approach of cold weather, the likelihood of their occurrence increases. What are constant drafts, after which it is impossible to straighten your neck or straighten your back. What to do? Perhaps you should not leave your house at all, sit in one place all the time and be afraid to move? Of course not! Life is beautiful, and you need to get the maximum of impressions and positive emotions from it. The main thing is to have at hand a tool that will come to the aid in difficult times.

According to statistics, from 60 to 90% of people experience diseases of the musculoskeletal system at least once in their life, and 1 out of 20 people is diagnosed with them annually (Plowman S.A., 1992). Most often they develop precisely in the autumn-winter period. The reason for this can serve as a banal hypothermia, and injuries, including dislocations, bruises or sprains. Since protecting yourself from risks of this kind is often problematic, you need to be prepared in any situation to fight back and defeat the ailment.

To prevent such diseases, experts recommend doing exercises aimed at strengthening muscles and ligaments. At the same time, do not forget that too much physical activity, especially for a person without proper preparation, and chronic overstrain during classes are the same risk factors as their complete absence. But you shouldn’t refuse sports or outdoor activities, because this is unlikely to save you from potential danger: everyone knows that sometimes one unsuccessful movement is enough to stretch your back or stretch your muscle - and earn extreme pain. And this, as you know, can for a long time unsettle any person: without proper treatment, recovery can last up to 12 weeks (Biering-Sorenson F., 1984.). These diseases affect both men and women of all ages; among children and adolescents, these problems are no less relevant: in 12–26% of children, pain is noted after bruises and sprains.

Faced with a disease of the musculoskeletal system, a person first goes for a drug. But what to choose? How not to get lost among a wide assortment and colorful advertising? How to help the patient make the right choice and recommend a remedy that will help get rid of pain during sprains and injuries as quickly as possible?

In order to answer these questions, a study was conducted at the Ukrainian Sports Medicine Center (Kiev), the purpose of which was to compare the effectiveness of the most popular drugs used for diseases of the musculoskeletal system, as well as local circulatory disorders. Its results testified to the high efficiency of the Esparma APIZARTRON preparation.

This combined drug has a warming, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and vasodilator effect. It consists of 3 active components: bee venom, allyl isothiocyanate (the active component of mustard oil) and methyl salicylate. Due to their harmonious combination, the mutual action is stronger than the actions of its components separately. Due to this, the therapeutic effect when using

APIZARTRON occurs faster compared to other drugs in this group.

APIZARTRON - a combined preparation that has a warming, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and vasodilating effect

In order to understand why APIZARTRON is so effective, consider the properties of its components.

The power of nature in your medicine cabinet

Since time immemorial, bee venom has been used for medicinal purposes. The ancient Greek physician and thinker Hippocrates in his writings points to its effectiveness in treating diseases of the musculoskeletal system, and also calls it a diuretic and expectorant. In India and China, it was used for poisoning. True, despite the abundance of references to the healing properties of bee venom, specific methods have not reached our days. Therefore, the official development of apitherapy is ascribed to the end of the 18th century, when Professor M.I. Lukomsky came up with a proposal to treat gout and rheumatism with apitoxin. Already in 1941, Professor N.M. Artemov said that apitoxin has the greatest effect on the nervous and vascular systems, to a lesser extent on the immune system. The first point of provision of apitherapeutic care in 1972 was opened by neuropathologist Professor E.A. Ludyansky. It was he who was one of the first to talk about a wide range of properties of bee venom and the possibility of its use for the treatment of many diseases, both independently and in combination with traditional methods.

Today, research on the properties of bee venom is carried out in many research centers of Ukraine and Russia, among them several of the most significant can be distinguished: Institute of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kharkov); Crimean State Medical University CM. Georgievsky (Simferopol); Central Research Institute of Gastroenterology (Moscow).

The composition of bee venom is so complex that there is still no possibility of its artificial production

Despite the interest of scientists, the composition of apitoxin is so complicated that so far there is no possibility of its artificial production. That is why bee venom remains one of those few natural products whose synthetic analogues are not yet available.

Science vs nature

Biologically active substances contained in bee venom are divided into several groups: enzymes, polypeptides, biogenic amines, minerals, etc.

Among enzymes, phospholipase A2, hyaluronidase, and acid phosphatase are of greatest importance. More recently, enzymes such as phosphomonoesterase, α-glucosidase, and p-galactosidase have been identified in bee venom, but they do not play a significant role in the formation of overall biological activity.

The action of phospholipase A2, hyaluronidase and acid phosphatase is aimed at the breakdown of intercellular substance molecules, membrane proteins and lipids. That is, thanks to these enzymes, the permeability of the skin and blood vessels increases, which contributes to the faster penetration of other active substances contained in bee venom into the focus of inflammation.

The most significant bee venom polypeptides are represented by mellitin (the main component is up to 50% of dry weight), apamine, MCD peptide, tertiapine, secapine, histamine-containing penta- and tetrapeptides.

Mellitin is a polypeptide consisting of 26 amino acids and having the properties of a surfactant. Its therapeutic value is due to pronounced antibacterial and cytotoxic effects. Due to its special physicochemical properties, mellitin is a strong antimicrobial agent that can destroy many bacteria, including mycoplasmas. At a concentration of 0.3 μg / ml, mellitin increases the resistance of proteins to denaturation and helps to reduce the intensity of inflammatory processes in the tissues.

The main biogenic amine that is part of apitoxin is histamine, but in addition to it, in small quantities it contains dopamine and norepinephrine.

Histamine - a derivative of histidine - is one of the most important mediators in the body, participating in the regulation of vital functions and playing a significant role in eliminating the inflammatory process. Histamine causes severe hyperemia and a decrease in the severity of pain. Because it is used for pain associated with nerve damage, radiculitis, plexitis, polyarthritis, articular and muscle rheumatism.

In addition to bee venom, APIZARTRON also contains 2 more active components: allyl isothiocyanate and methyl salicylate. The first of these is a locally irritating substance that is found in the seeds of black and sarepta mustard. It is allyl isothiocyanate that causes the warming and hyperemic effect of the drug APIZARTRON. The second component is methyl salicylate, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that has an analgesic effect. It is often used for joint and muscle rheumatism, arthritis, exudative pleurisy.

Auxiliary components provide a high rate of absorption of the ointment, thereby accelerating the onset of the therapeutic effect. The complex effect of active substances (local irritant, vasodilator, detoxification, hyperemic and analgesic) allows you to achieve the maximum effect.

Train for health

Despite the wide range of applications of the drug APIZARTRON today, we would like to talk about its benefits in the treatment of sports injuries. The reason for choosing this direction is obvious: athletes are subjected to very heavy loads, because all kinds of injuries and bruises in their lives are common. Moreover, people whose professional activities are related to sports simply cannot stay on sick leave for a long time. They need a reliable and proven tool that will help them recover as quickly as possible and return to a normal life consisting of constant training and competition.

The study, conducted at the Ukrainian Center for Sports Medicine, was attended by athletes from the Olympic team of Ukraine in figure skating and athletes not related to this sport. The aim of the study was to study the effectiveness of the drug APIZARTRON, other warming, anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs and their combinations, most often used in the treatment of such injuries and injuries. It was found that APIZARTRON quickly and reliably eliminates their consequences. Also, the results of the study showed that the therapeutic effect is enhanced if, before applying the ointment, warm up the damaged area (rub or take a hot shower). Thus, one more important conclusion can be made - APIZARTRON is suitable for the treatment of both acute and chronic diseases of the musculoskeletal system (Ambartsumov R.M., 2000)

What is APIZARTRON?

This is a drug that has been present on our market for more than 30 years. It consists of 3 active components, each of which has a pronounced effect. At the same time, they reinforce each other's influence, due to which synergy is achieved.

The most interesting component of the APIZARTRON ointment is bee venom. Apitoxin is a storehouse of biologically active substances. Even in antiquity, people knew about its beneficial properties and used for many diseases.

According to the results of a study conducted at the Ukrainian Center for Sports Medicine, APIZARTRON is the most effective drug for the treatment of pathology of the musculoskeletal system. In addition, it is suitable for the treatment of both chronic and acute diseases.

The secret of APIZARTRON’s success is simple - it consists in a harmonious combination of components, high efficiency and European traditions of quality!

Proven over the years, with an impressive list of positive properties, APIZARTRON undoubtedly deserves to occupy an honorable place in our medicine cabinet.
