In the children's clinic, propolis in the form of an aerosol is successfully used for the prevention and treatment of catarrh of the upper respiratory tract, pharyngitis, tracheitis, chronic pneumonia and bronchial asthma in children (inhalation of propolis in the form of an emulsion in rosehip oil, or apricot oil in a dilution of 1: 3, 1 : 2 and 1: 1 up to 20 sessions, duration 1-3-5 minutes).

Propolis is successfully used for the treatment of difficult healing, festering wounds, chronic neurodermatitis, acute, chronic and microbial eczema, skin fungal diseases, radioactive skin lesions by applying gauze bandages soaked in 10-30% propolis ointment in vegetable oil. At the same time, itching and pain decreases or completely stops, then recovery occurs.
Propolis for middle ear infections
With inflammation of the middle ear, good results were obtained after the introduction of gauze tampons into the ear canal, soaked in 30% propolis tincture in 70 C alcohol, infused for 2-3 days. Tampons are changed daily, the course of treatment is 10-15 days. With purulent inflammation of the middle ear, gauze tampons moistened with 20% propolis tincture in 96 C alcohol, infused for 7-10 days, are introduced into the ear canal. The tampons are also changed daily, the treatment time is longer, 20-25 days.
Propolis for the treatment of vaginal inflammation
In case of inflammation of the vagina and cervix caused by pathogenic microorganisms (trichomoniasis, staphylococci, streptococci, etc.), douching or tampons soaked in 3% weekly propolis tincture in 96 C alcohol are used. Douching or tamponing should be done daily, preferably at night, for 7-10 days. At the same time, the effect of the treatment turned out to be higher than with the use of traditional medicines. Only 1% of patients developed allergic phenomena, which stopped after the abolition of propolis.
Difficult healing wounds after gynecological operations heal better and faster after daily wetting of sore spots with 15% propolis tincture in 96 C alcohol.
For breastfeeding, repeated daily lubrication of skin cracks with 10% propolis ointment in butter or vegetable oil helps.
Propolis for the treatment of angina
Chronic pharyngitis, rhinitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis, tonsillitis are successfully treated with 20-30% propolis tincture in 96 C alcohol, diluted 1: 1 with water sweetened with honey. In milder forms of inflammation of the oropharynx, daily lubrication of the nasal sinuses and oral cavity with this tincture is sufficient. In severe forms, the tincture should be consumed orally in 1 tbsp. 3 times daily before meals. For children, the dose should be reduced depending on age (from 40 drops to 1 teaspoon or dessert spoon). If children are nursing or do not tolerate alcoholic tinctures, it is better to use water decoctions of propolis of the same concentration. The preparation of aqueous propolis infusions has already been mentioned above, and they can be used in large doses, which are selected individually depending on the age, degree and nature of the disease. In mild forms of inflammation of the respiratory system, you can take 2-3 tbsp. 3 times a day before meals; it is useful to rinse the oropharynx with the same infusion when ingested. In severe forms: bronchitis, pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis, as well as with inflammation of the kidneys, take 100-200 ml of 30% water extract of propolis; can be mixed with 1 spoon of honey to improve taste. The course of treatment depends on the degree and nature of the disease: from 5 to 60 days.
Treatment of a cold with propolis
Take 20 g of crushed propolis, 10 g of butter and grind thoroughly, then add 70 g of sunflower oil and mix everything well. The prepared medicine is moistened with small cotton swabs and put into the nose 2 times a day - in the morning and in the evening.
Propolis treatment for nasopharyngeal inflammation
Take 30 g of crushed propolis, pour 100 g of alcohol and infuse for 1.5-2 weeks, periodically shaking the mixture. The infusion is filtered, mixed with two parts of peach oil. The nasopharynx is washed once a day for 10-15 days.
Propolis treatment for angina and pneumonia
The propolis mixture is prepared as follows: 10 g of crushed propolis is added to 100 g of butter heated to 50-60 C and heated to 70 C for 8-10 minutes with continuous stirring, and then filtered through cheesecloth. Apply 1 tsp. 2-3 times a day 1-1.5 hours before meals with warm milk for two months.
Toothache propolis treatment
Take 40 g of crushed propolis, pour 70% alcohol (100 g). The resulting mixture is infused for 7-10 days, after which it is filtered and alcohol is added to the filtrate in such a way as to bring the infusion to a 40% concentration. In the resulting infusion, cotton swabs are moistened and applied to a sore tooth.
Propolis treatment of bronchial asthma
Take 20 g of crushed propolis, pour 80 g of medical alcohol and, constantly shaking, insist for a week. After that, filter, allow to settle and take an infusion of 20 drops with milk or water 30 minutes before meals 3 times a day for 2 months.
Propolis treatment of bronchitis, rhinitis and pulmonary tuberculosis
These diseases are treated with propolis together with wax and using an inhaler. 60 g of propolis and 40 g of wax are put into the apparatus, which, melting, turn into a gaseous state, and their phytoncides become available for inhalation. Inhale propolis vapors with wax in the morning and in the evening for 10-15 minutes for two months in a row. You can do without an inhaler: put propolis and wax in a mug with a capacity of 300-400 ml, put it in another, more spacious container with boiling water (water bath) and inhale the secretions (steam).
Propolis treatment of stomatitis
When stomatitis, gingivitis, candidiasis are treated, the initial stages of periodontal disease, often conventional antibiotics do not cope or are not recommended, then an infusion of concentrated propolis is used: 50 g of propolis is cleaned and crushed, then 80 ml of 70 C alcohol is poured in and allowed to brew for 7-10 days, stirring thoroughly every day, after which it is settled for 2 days and filtered through cotton wool. Before applying the propolis infusion, you need to clean the unhealthy area with hydrogen peroxide and dry it with a warm stream of air, after which the propolis infusion is applied with a pipette (a few drops) and dried in the same way to form a small propolis film, which lasts throughout day. After 5-8 days of such treatment, a complete recovery or significant improvement occurs. For the treatment of candidiasis, nystatin is also dissolved in this tincture. For the best effect, add to this tincture (80 ml): 2 g of fish oil, 5 g of honey and 50 g of royal jelly.
Propolis treatment of trophic ulcers
When trophic ulcers do not heal on the lower extremities, propolis aerosols are used: once a day it is necessary to lubricate the ulcers, or apply gauze bandages (soaked in aerosol). Preparation of propolis aerosol: insist 5% tincture in 96 C alcohol for 3 days, filter, mix with apricot, or sea buckthorn, or peach oil in a ratio of 1: 2, then boil for 5 minutes and filter again. Before treatment, the infusion is mixed with novocaine in a 1: 2 ratio.
Stomach ulcer treatment with propolis
In case of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer use propolis infusion with unsalted butter: 10% propolis infusion with 96 C alcohol, infused for 3-5 days and mixed with butter in a 10: 1 ratio, boiled and filtered through cotton wool. Hot tincture is taken 20-30 drops with milk or water 3 times a day one hour before meals. The healing procedure usually takes 20 days. For some, it is better suited for treatment; make this tincture not with butter, but with sea buckthorn. It is also possible to increase the dose to 1 teaspoon in warm milk, also three times a day one hour before meals. In the same way, it is possible to cure gastritis, acute and chronic colitis. Some people use 20-30% propolis tincture for the treatment of stomach ulcers, 60 drops in a cup of milk 3 times a day, half an hour before meals. It is necessary to understand and take into account that while taking propolis, you increase the acidity of gastric juice.
Treatment with propolis sinusitis
For the treatment of purulent sinusitis, in those cases when taking antibiotics and sulfonamide preparations, the effect was not observed, 10% 7-day tincture of propolis with 96 C alcohol helped, which must be injected into the maxillary sinuses using puncture: 2-5 punctures with an interval of 2-3 day. If the tincture is not tolerated, then it is possible to dilute it with distilled water. Before treatment, the tincture must be well filtered and heated to body temperature. When treating at home purulent sinusitis, 20% 7-day tincture of 96 C alcohol, diluted in half with sea buckthorn, sunflower or other vegetable oil, is instilled into the nose; if this tincture influences through a measure irritatingly, in these cases 20-30% water broth of propolis is instilled into the nose. With a runny nose, 20% propolis tincture with 96 C alcohol, diluted with water 50/50, soak gauze tampons and injected into the nasal sinuses. Another way: instilled into the nose 20% water infusion of propolis, 5 drops at a time.
Propolis treatment for radiculitis
For the treatment of sciatica, a cake of pure propolis (100-200 g) is used, applying it to the problem area. Then cover with wax paper and apply an electric heating pad overnight. Convalescence time: 5-8 nights. It is also possible to replace the cake with compresses of 20% propolis tincture at 96 C alcohol.
Treatment with propolis boils
When treating boils, carbuncles, it is necessary to cover the inflamed purulent wounds with a flat cake of pure propolis, pressing them with adhesive plaster. It is necessary to eliminate propolis from the boil after it has completely softened and pus comes out.
Propolis treatment of the prostate
For the treatment of inflammation of the prostate gland, together with the use of 20% propolis tincture inside, candles are used - sticks from propolis extract and cocoa butter. Obtaining propolis extract: take 40 g of propolis, grind and pour 200 ml of 96 C alcohol, then infuse it for 10 days with daily shaking, after which the alcohol is evaporated by boiling. Pour 2 g of cocoa into the resulting mass and stir actively. From the resulting mass, sticks are made, which are inserted into the rectum at night. Recovery time: from 3 days to a month. With this method of treatment, there is a removal of inflammation, disappearance of pain and a significant improvement in the patient's condition.
With migraines
Pour 10 g of crushed propolis with 100 ml of 70% alcohol solution or high-quality vodka, leave for 8-10 days, shaking 3-4 times during the day, strain. Add 3-4 drops of infusion to 50 ml of boiled water. Take 1 hour before meals 1 time per day with milk or tea. The course of treatment is 3-4 weeks - it is recommended to carry out 2-3 times a year with frequent migraines.
